Delroy was releasing his own records @ the ripe age of 17 which were Inspired in the 80’s and played loud on his Dads big rig sound system! He started the pop group Total Contrast with UK charts hits Takes a Little Time, Hit and Run and What you Gonna Do About it & The River. He has also wrote & produced for ‘band’ Tongue 'n’ Cheek (EMI) and hit the charts again with Nobody, Encore, Tomorrow & rework Forget Me Nots. He was also the songwriter for soundscapes on radio 4!
Delroy kickstarted music careers all over London in the 90’s when he hosted & directed multi showcases ‘The 291 Club’
@ Hackney Empire which was broadcast on ITV and Channel 4
Fast paced, creative juices & a focused mind Delroy composed music for The Real McCoy (BBC1), Baby Father (BBC2), Get Up Stand Up (C4). Not only that, he composed and directed WEST END SHOW Fences with Lenny Henry in the Duchess theatre & was writing for Theatre Royal; Jack and the Beanstalk and Sleeping Beauty. He also wrote productions for the Talawa Theatre Company; Anansi, Moon On a Rainbow Shawl, Blues for Mr Charlie, Urban Afro Saxons and Twelfth Night. He is a seriously composed & focused Talent!
Delroy devotes time to the evolving & cultivating new generation and shares his creativity and knowledge teaching in schools and private classes.
Delroy plays most instruments & also plays across genres in live bands Bhangra, Ska, Reggae and Soul and all new music culture he shares with his son Brandon because he is a great father & loving man!
